• Ah, one of my favorites in terms of subject matter - ponds with dead trees or stumps. Nature's way of doing "natural" recycling. And, of course, there's the seasonal recycling that's portrayed here (the dormancy of winter). I too like the subdued tones. They amplify the "message".

• Nice one Sherri. There is something very atmospheric about this shot. The dead trees on what could be a frozen river and the bleached possibly frosty grass against a backdrop of leafless trees. It has a 'nuclear winter' feel about it.
