self-portratit, taken with my iPhoneStill, there is something predatory in the act of taking a picture. To photograph people is to violate them, by seeing them as they never see themselves, by having knowledge of them they can never have; it turns people into objects that can be symbolically possessed. Just as the camera is a sublimation of the gun, to photograph someone is a sublimated murder, a soft murder, appropriate to a sad, frightened time.- Susan Sontag, (Photographer)

Lensbaby 3G Selective Focus SLR Lens with Lensbaby 37mm +10 Macro LensAbout eight years ago, Carrie, our daughter planted tulip bulbs in her flower bed. The next spring the tulips bloomed and Caitlin, our granddaughter saw them, picked them and brought them to her mama. Extending the bundle of blooms upward she cheerfully said, "Look, Mama! We have flowers!" Carrie didn't get to see them on the plant that year. Blinking back tears, she thanked her wide eyed innocent daughter for the gift.Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you.- Edward Payson Rod

...doesn't display a branding because it's not about the branding. It's about the bag. Actually, the advertising comes by word of mouth because so many people say, "Oh, I love the bag! Can I ask where you bought it?"Let advertisers spend the same amount of money improving their product that they do on advertising and they wouldn't have to advertise it.- Will Rogers

Lensbaby 3G Selective Focus SLR Lens with Lensbabies 0.6x Wide Angle Lens 37mmAt least for one targeted group of consumers.Of course the shirt tail has to be left out and Dad says, "Son, you need to tuck your shirt in", and the son says, "Dad, it's supposed to be out", and pointing to the logo says, "See?", and Dad says, "Mom? Is his shirt tail supposed to be left out? It looks sloppy like that.", and Mom says, "It's the style to leave the shirt tail out. See the name? Besides, it's only to cover up the T-shirt. See how he only has the bottom three buttons buttoned?"It is not the purpose of the ad or commercial to make the reader or listener say, 'My what a clever ad.' It is the purpose of advertising to make the reader say, 'I believe I'll buy one when I'm shopping tomorrow'.- Morris Hite

This pair has inside front pockets with black clover on white background and a hidden message in the button fly. Lensbaby 3G Selective Focus SLR Lens with Lensbabies 0.6x Wide Angle Lens 37mmThis company is one of several who use a variety of branding formats. One branding may appeal to or speak more efficiently to one targeted group than another branding format. See?Advertising is the art of the tiny. You have to tell a complete a story and deliver a complete message in a very encapsulated form. It disciplines you to cut away extraneous information.- Dick Wolf
