ordinaryimages @ 2010-03-07 22:29:47 - I love this! There is such warmth in the shot from the light and the tall grasses. The rust is perfect and I just love your composition. Nice one Sherri!

BoB @ 2010-03-08 05:44:03 - Ooh I really like this, everything from the tones to the DOF, the feeling that we're taking a glimpse of something forbidden from our hiding place behind the grass. A great frame!
Craig @ 2010-03-08 06:57:42 - Gorgeous! With the colors on the car it almost looks like it is actually growing out of the earth! Superb photo!
martie @ 2010-03-08 07:52:52 - Nice find. Makes me think of Christine. You know...the jealous car movie.

Otto K. @ 2010-03-08 15:57:12 - Nice rust photo. I have to wonder about the history when I see these wonderful old cars just abandoned somewhere. Looks like some green leaves are coming in there!
Mark Johnson @ 2010-03-08 17:43:11 - Interesting. I see the effects of entropy leading into the wreck gradually transforming itself to the surrounding landscape.

Andrei Barbu @ 2010-03-09 06:23:57 - I always find it amazing that "man" can mess up the landscape with a piece of junk that he can't seem to figure out where to put, but Nature over a period of time conceals it.......for us photographers to find of course. Great shot Sherri!
Don @ 2010-03-09 11:59:49 - I love finding abandoned stuff, makes the best pictures!
Robin @ 2010-03-09 12:08:48 - this is really beautiful the way you've shot it
Chris B @ 2010-03-09 12:22:33 - beautiful composition and framing..
Yashar @ 2010-03-09 13:39:45 - I love to find these old cars out on the road and photograph them. There is an inherent sadness about decaying objects. All of them were someone's dream at one time or another. The designer loved his creation, the owner was proud of his auto, and maybe the second owner bought it because he or she had always dreamed of owning one.
Great shot indeed.
Jim Browning @ 2010-03-09 16:31:48 - That`s a motive, which I would have also gladly before the lens. Beautiful - I like it.
Cerstin @ 2010-03-09 18:11:55 - yes, beautiful wreckage. He's so sturdy looking too isn't he despite all the rust and neglect. A warm and storied shot.

Toni @ 2010-03-10 01:17:30 - Hiding in the hedges, waiting for some ambitious teenager to restore her (or perhaps they don't do that anymore).
Turnbill @ 2010-03-10 06:00:13 - A beautiful old star.
Still @ 2010-03-10 14:33:20 - that must have been sitting there for ages!! This is such a cool find!
Arjan - PlasticDaisy @ 2010-03-10 16:00:23 - As much as I hate old junkers littering the world I love finding them for the photos.
This is a gorgeous shot.I like the weather beaten paint tones.
Michael Rawluk @ 2010-03-11 12:23:35 - Cool find. Wonder how it got there?
Andy @ 2010-03-11 14:21:12 - Love these finds....but I confess to sometimes being too lazy to stop.
12bitphoto @ 2010-03-12 11:59:57 - Superb!
Omar @ 2010-03-14 01:55:37

The taint of age can be very beautiful. The wreckage of man-made objects is something more beautiful than the new. Rust and weathering adds a patina of elegant gorp.
