• i love all the layers in your composition, sherri. the bushes in the foreground, the water, the fog, the trees, perhaps more water or snow, more trees. and 35-40% of the photo os the sky, which is great use of 'negative' space. it's beautifully balanced. and gorgeous.

• Love the quote, Sherri. That's exactly what happened the other morning on the way to work. Close to my destination, about five miles ahead, there was dense fog. By the time I got there five minutes later it had dissipated. Lovely capture.

We rarely have fog in this part of Arkansas and when I saw it I pulled off the road to capture some images. That's when I realized the fog was there because the farmland was flooded.


Photography is a response that has to do with the momentary recognition of things. Suddenly you're alive. A minute later there was nothing there. I just watched it evaporate. You look one moment and there's everything, next moment it's gone.
