match(es)

There’s always someone throwing matches around,
Waving a shiny, new knife.
They’re the first to run when the house burns down,
I’ve seen it every day of my life.
— Patty Griffin, (Singer/Songwriter, Icicles)

July 5, 2012I love your approach to images and their combination with typography, And the idea of splitting them into four sets of three is intriguing – and adds greatly to finished image.

July 8, 2012No need for three on a match here – three matches for everyone in the trench. I heard the stories/superstitions from a grandparents’ neighbor who fought in WW I. Ever since, “matches” and “three” in any form have chilled me a bit.
