image notes: trail to the family cemetery of the farm where the Battle of Antietam was fought during the American Civil War.
Beautiful image, Sherri. This has such a desolate look to it, which is quite apt, of course.
I’d take a peaceful walk there, Sherri!
Happy Mother’s Day!
awesome path and stunning point of view
Love the tree. Great leading lines. Fantastic as a BW with issues.
Good low angle! I like that you got down to the level of the wooden fence. And the whole scene is just great! I like the treatment you gave it.
very beautiful scenery and processing
wow, fantastic composition and a great processing
nice texture work and a moody feel
a fitting depiction in a rather sad location.
i like this path very much sherri… your photo invites us to walk over the hill to see what is beyond that great tree….peter:)
it’s funny, the picture won’t load, bad connection tonight, but having read what it is of, i felt a sense of dread, such that the tops of the trees and the grey sky were enuff….
i like how it leads straight to the tree, nicely captured! :)
Incredible mood you’ve captured–perfect tribute to this place’s somber historical significance.
