The University of Arkansas [Clinton School of Public Service] is housed in the old Choctaw train station, Little Rock, Arkansas. Located on the Arkansas river in downtown Little Rock, the renovated structure is now 13,200 square feet.

I was never in the train station and haven’t been inside this structure since it was renovated to house the school. The last time I was inside, it housed the Spaghetti Warehouse. I find myself fascinated with this school and would love to attend it, but several things stand in my way. The main obstacle is that I have no desire to be in public service. (you can smile – i did)

While Governor of Arkansas, Bill and Hillary did much for education. I admire politicians and citizens who see the need of education for people from all walks of life as a major investment in America and have no respect for those who would tear down the public education structure of this country.

We should reward the best schools, and we should shut down or redesign those that fail, and especially those that are unsafe. That’s one reason why I have supported expanding school choice and charter schools — creative new schools started by parents and teachers and licensed by school systems. And it’s why I have announced a new $5 billion program to renovate and modernize school buildings badly in need of repair in inner cities, suburbs, and one–stoplight towns.

    It’s a beautiful shot, Sherri.
Is there a reason the lower part of the building is cropped out?

Politicians never seem to be able to get the balance between ‘self’ and ‘public’ service right :-)

The old school way of architecture. In this modern era of everything brand new, including schools and curriculum, we need to step back and fix what is not working.

Nice to see that this old train station has found a new life. There is a train station near me that is being considered for a remodeling project. Hopefully, it will be. These are such beautiful old structures, great shot Sherri of the amazing intricate design and details.
